Our 14-day Bhutan journey with Sokshing Travel was one of the most memorable trips we’ve ever taken. Traveling with a group of 30 people can often be challenging, especially when everyone has different interests, expectations, and needs. However, the Sokshing team managed everything with remarkable professionalism and attention to detail. From the moment we arrived until our departure, every aspect of the trip was smooth, well-coordinated, and thoughtfully planned. What made this trip especially unique was the opportunity to explore Eastern Bhutan, including Mongar and other lesser-visited regions. Many visitors only see the western part of Bhutan, but traveling east gave us a much deeper appreciation of the country’s rich culture, warm hospitality, and beautiful rural landscapes. It felt like discovering a hidden side of Bhutan that remains untouched and authentic. Another standout experience was our stay at the mountain retreat. Surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery and peaceful surroundings, it was the perfect place to slow down, reflect, and experience the serenity that Bhutan is famous for. It became one of the highlights of the entire journey. A special thank you to our guides Sonam, Nima, Pelden and support team, who were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a wonderful experience. Managing a large group while still giving personal attention to individual travelers is a rare skill, and they did it exceptionally well. This was more than just a sightseeing trip—it was an immersive cultural experience that allowed us to connect with Bhutan, its people, and its way of life. We returned home with wonderful memories, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation for this remarkable country. Thank you, Sokshing Travel, for creating such a meaningful and unforgettable journey. We would not hesitate to travel with you again and highly recommend your services to anyone seeking an authentic Bhutan experience.Posted on Google Lam NguyenVanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In February 2025, our group had the privilege of visiting Bhutan through Sokshing Travel, a family-owned travel company based in Bhutan. The journey was truly exceptional and exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived at Paro International Airport, we were welcomed with genuine warmth, kindness, and professionalism. Throughout the entire trip, the Sokshing Travel team provided outstanding service and attentive care, ensuring that every aspect of our journey was smooth, comfortable, and memorable. Our itinerary took us across some of Bhutan’s most beautiful and spiritually significant regions, including Paro, Thimphu, Mongar, and Trashigang in Eastern Bhutan. We visited ancient Buddhist monasteries, admired the majestic Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking Thimphu Valley, paid homage at the Guru Rinpoche statue in Mongar, and explored sacred Buddhist centers nestled high in the mountains. The breathtaking landscapes along the way offered unforgettable views and experiences. One of the highlights of our journey was witnessing snowfall for the first time in our lives and traveling through mountain roads covered in pristine snow. It was a magical experience that added an extra dimension of wonder to our visit. While we enjoyed excellent accommodations in carefully selected hotels and beautiful resorts, the most meaningful part of the trip was the opportunity to spend time living and participating in daily activities at a Vajrayana Buddhist monastery in Mongar. This unique experience allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of Bhutanese spiritual traditions, local culture, and community life. We shared meals with local people, experienced authentic Bhutanese hospitality, and developed a genuine appreciation for the country’s values and way of life. Bhutan is far more than a travel destination; it is a place of profound spiritual heritage, natural beauty, and remarkable cultural richness. Our journey left us with cherished memories and a deep respect for the Bhutanese people and their unique way of life. We sincerely thank the entire Sokshing Travel team for creating such an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend their services to anyone seeking an authentic, well-organized, and deeply meaningful journey through the Kingdom of Bhutan. We highly recommend travel insurance for any unexpected incidents during your trip, though it’s no longer required for a visa. If you choose to insure, we can help you purchase coverage from a Bhutanese company, with costs ranging from USD $10-40, depending on your stay and coverage.
